DareMe — Privacy Policy
DareMe is a dating app where matches start with a dare. It is operated by Abhiyant Singh ("we", "us"). Contact: abhiyantsingh007@gmail.com. This policy explains what we collect, why, and your choices.
What we collect
- Account information — when you sign in with Google we receive your name, email address, profile photo URL, and a unique account ID.
- Profile you create — display name, age (18+ only), city, personality-quiz answers ("Dare DNA"), and your signature dare.
- Approximate location (optional) — only if you choose "Use my location" or pick a city. GPS coordinates are rounded to roughly a 1 km grid on your device before they are ever stored; we never collect or store your precise position. You can skip location entirely.
- Activity — dares and truths you send or accept, matches, chat messages, and photo-reveal progress.
- Safety data — blocks you set and reports you file.
How we use it
- To run the service: matching, showing approximate distance ("2.4 km away"), chat, and dare progress.
- To keep people safe: enforcing the 18+ rule, handling reports and blocks.
- We do not show ads, do not sell your data, and do not share it with third parties for marketing.
Where it lives
Your data is stored in Google Firebase (Cloud Firestore), region asia-south1 (Mumbai), protected by per-user security rules and Google's infrastructure security. Google acts as our processor; see Firebase Privacy.
Who can see what
Your profile card (name, age, city, quiz vibe, signature dare, approximate distance) is visible to other signed-in users. Your email and exact coordinates are never shown to anyone. Messages are visible only to the two people in a match. Clearly labeled "✨ demo" starter profiles are fictional and operated by the app.
Retention & deletion
We keep your data while your account is active. You can request deletion at any time — see Delete your account. We delete your profile, matches, messages, location, and blocks within 30 days of a verified request. Safety reports about an account may be retained where needed to keep the platform safe.
Age policy
DareMe is strictly 18+. The app blocks under-18 sign-ups and we remove accounts reported and confirmed as underage.
Your rights
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data by emailing abhiyantsingh007@gmail.com from the Google account email you signed up with.
Changes
If this policy changes, we will update this page and the effective date above. Material changes will be announced in the app.
