DareMe — Child Safety Standards
DareMe has a zero-tolerance policy toward child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE) and child sexual abuse material (CSAM). This page publishes the standards we hold ourselves to.
1. Adults only, by design
- DareMe is strictly 18+. The Google Play listing is rated for adults, and the app requests that Google Play block accounts Google has determined to be minors from finding or downloading it.
- In-app age selection cannot be set below 18, and our backend rules reject any profile with an age under 18.
- Accounts reported and confirmed as belonging to minors are removed.
2. Prohibited content and behavior
The following result in immediate account termination and, where applicable, reporting to authorities:
- CSAM of any kind — sharing, soliciting, or describing it;
- any sexualization of minors, including text;
- attempts by adults to contact minors, or by minors to use the service;
- grooming behavior of any form.
3. In-app reporting
Every profile card and every chat in DareMe carries a report & block control (the shield icon). Report categories include "Looks underage". Blocking is immediate; reports go to a moderation queue and are reviewed by a human.
4. Our response to CSAE/CSAM
- Confirmed CSAM is removed immediately and the account is permanently banned.
- We comply with all applicable child safety laws and report CSAM to the relevant regional and national authorities — including law enforcement and recognized bodies such as the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) where applicable — and we preserve evidence as the law requires.
- We cooperate with lawful requests from law enforcement.
